On Tuesday night Erin, her Mom and Stepdad, and I went and saw a preview of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We all thought it was a really good movie. It goes into how Willy Wonka became Willy Wonka and the making of the Chocolate Factory. It does this in a series of flashbacks when one of the kids asks Willy if he remembers things from his childhood. The Oompa Loompa's are a little different, they are all in different jumpsuits as opposed to them being orange with white overalls. The Oompa Loompa songs are a little more entertaining too. I feel that Tim Burton did an excellent job of putting his spin on the movie yet keeping with the orginal too. Both Erin and I want to get it as soon as it comes on out DVD. We attempted to get the soundtrack that same night but Virgin Music didn't have any in stock. Erin did pick it up the next night on her way to work at Pottery Barn. So now we have joint custody of the soundtrack. I would recommend seeing it. I really enjoyed the movie and have no problems with saying so.
